Katrina's journey into dental hygiene began with curiosity and has flourished into a passion for transforming patients' lives through exceptional oral health care. Originally studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Greenwich in London, she discovered her true calling after being inspired by her roommate's dental hygiene studies and witnessing the profound impact this fi eld could have on patients' well-being. After earning her dental hygiene degree from Trinity College Dublin, Katrina had the privilege of working for six years with her professor and mentor, a periodontist and dean of the Royal College of Surgeons. This invaluable experience shaped her into the skilled clinician she is today, providing her with extensive training in complex cases and research projects that enhanced her expertise in periodontal care.

Katrina believes that understanding each patient's unique personality is key to providing exceptional care. Always committed to advancing her skills, Katrina completed phlebotomy certification three years ago and maintains her license to better serve patients interested in plasma therapy for procedures like wisdom tooth extraction, implant placement, and bone grafting. Working alongside two periodontists, she continues to learn and ask questions, regularly attending in-person educational meetings to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies.

When she's not caring for patients, Katrina can be found training for her next marathon—she completes one each year as a way to maintain balance in her life. She loves spending time outdoors with family and extended family, and while she enjoys both tea and coffee, beaches and mountains, she admits it's challenging to find mountains in Florida! As a devoted dog lover, she brings the same warmth and care to her personal relationships as she does to patient care.
